Spicy Passionfruit Margarita
This lush, spicy and highly slurpable margarita will transport you to the beachside. It’s at once refreshing and juicy as it is spicy and boozy - so what’s not to like! Did I mention you can make one in under a minute?! This is dangerously good.
This recipe will make 2 margaritas
INGREDIENTS
1 teaspoon of red chilli flakes
2 shots (120ml) blanco tequila
1 shot (60ml) Cointreau
1/3 cup of soda water
1 orange’s juice
1 passionfruit’s pulp and juice
wedges of lime, plus more for serving
Ice
(Optional): 1 tablespoon coarse salt, for glass rims
INSTRUCTIONS
Take a pinch of salt and add it to your cocktail shaker, with the remaining scatter it over a small plate. Run a lime wedge around the rims of 2 serving glasses and dip the rims in the salt and set aside.
In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, Cointreau, orange juice, chilli, and passionfruit. Fill the cocktail shaker with ice and shake until thoroughly chilled, about 20 seconds.
Fill glasses with fresh ice and strain the passionfruit margarita into both glasses. Top up with soda water, then garnish with lime wedges to serve. Please enjoy (responsibly!)
