Hi everyone and welcome to my website!
I'm Brittany and I work and live in Sydney, Australia but I'm originally from Wellington, New Zealand.
For me, food is an essential part of looking after one's health, wellbeing, and happiness, and don't we get such joy from serving a homemade dish to our loved ones!
If you're wondering about the title of this website it sort of started off ironically - as for the most part, this is simply a fun way to share what I'm currently cooking and how to recreate it if you want! In saying that, one (if the only) motto I live by is "Live, Laugh, Lasagne" and it sums up pretty nicely what I think is truly important. Living life to the fullest, lots of laughter and... wait for it... lasagne. Lasagne is a dish that holds a special place in my heart as it was the first meal I cooked which really made me feel fulfilled, and one that I've cooked many times for my family and friends.
I would like to say that I am a home cook, through and through, self-taught and no professional training here - so if you have any questions, suggestions, or comments about any of my recipes please send me a message - I would love to hear from you!
When I'm not cooking, taking photos of food, eating, or thinking about food (which is often), I study a Master of Global Health at the University of Sydney and enjoy reading terrible romances, exercise of all kinds, painting, and writing poetry and prose. I also recently completed my WSET Level 2 Award in Wine, so if you would like a wine recommendation or pairing with any of my recipes please reach out via my Instagram or email.
I would like to thank you for taking the time to read and (hopefully enjoy!) these recipes, and I encourage you to take what you can and put your own spin on it too! Aside from pastry making most of these recipes can be changed up a bit and ingredients exchanged for you have in your fridge or pantry - cooking is such a personal experience, do what you feel like and own it!
